New 6 week courses starting in October
This 6-week course led by Raquy Danziger will give you a strong foundation in darbuka drumming.
We will work on the split hand style which uses the individual fingers.
Classes are 40 minutes each once a week.
You will learn:
-The basic techniques
-Useful rhythms
-Solo Phrases
-At the end of the course you will be able to play a composition!

This is a six-week course for intermediate/advanced darbuka players led by Bünyamin Olguncan, a master drummer who has taken split hand darbuka playing to unprecedented heights of beauty and speed.
In this live course, he will show all his latest moves, and along with Raquy, the students get a chance to copy his phrase. Raquy will also be there for break downs and translation.

A variety of rolls
Exercises and drill
Rhythms and solo phrases
Turkish, Arabic, and Indian style phases.

Bunyamin will play the big clay darbuka, but you can use any darbuka with a rounded rim.
